Evans to appeal four game touchline ban
CRAWLEY Town boss Steve Evans is to appeal a four game touchline ban given to him by the Football Association.
The punishment was given by the FA after the Reds boss was charged with improper conduct for his behaviour in the game against Woking on January 26.
Evans walked on to the pitch and remonstrated with the referee about the amount of first-half stoppage time being played, in which Woking scored their equaliser.
He has now been fined £1000 and will have to sit in the stands for the first four games of next season.
He said: "I've known about this for the best part of two weeks, I've been speaking to people and I can confirm I will be appealing the decision."
It is possible that if the appeal fails he could end up with a longer ban.
Evans has admitted charges of improper conduct for his behaviour in games against Northwich on March 15, Burton on March 22 and Aldershot on March 24 and is awaiting for personal hearings to be arranged by the FA.
