CRAWLEY Town could be about to sign former Arsenal striker Isaiah Rankin.
The ex-Gunner is a trialist at Broadfield Stadium and came on in place of Jamie Cook early in the second half of Monday night's 1-1 draw in their pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace.

Rankin, 30, recently played in the Conference for Stevenage and previously was at Brentford and Birmingham.

Reds' assistant manager Paul Raynor said: "We are just having a look at him at the moment and will see how he does."

Three other triallists: former Braintree goalkeeper Nick Morgan, Miles Coop and local lad Tom Lyons, who played for Town last season in the Sussex Senior Cup, were also given second half run-outs.
