CRAWLEY Town are looking forward to the second in a trio of
mouthwatering pre-season friendlies on Tuesday with the arrival at Broadfield Stadium of Premiership
giant Tottenham Hotspur.
Reds' boss Steve Evans reports that their world famous manager Juande
Ramos will be at the ground, along with a sprinkling of first team players.

Evans said: "I have been speaking with their Reserve team manager Clive Allen and Tottenham will be bringing a reasonably strong squad down to Crawley.

"Juande Ramos will be here and I expect some first team players to be involved."

The Crawley manager added the buzz around the club was a "world away" from how things were at the start of last season, under the previous owners the SA Group.

Reds suffered a six-point deduction from the Conference due to financial irregularities, and Evans began the season with a huge cut in his budget.

However there are signs that confidence is returning with the new consortium of owners who have teamed up with former owner John Duly to bring back the good times to Broadfield.

A whopping 2,536 fans enjoyed watching Crawley earn a 1-1 draw with a strong Crystal Palace side on Monday night, with only 703 of them counted as Palace supporters.

To see the full story, including Evans' opinion on the Palace game, read this week's Crawley Observer.
