PEASE Pottage's new boss Paul Sargeant says he wants to hold an open day at the club to find hidden talent in the area.
The former Haywards Heath boss was appointed as manager by the club's newly appointed vice-chairman, Joe Paton, last week.
Paton was first team boss at the club at the beginning of last season.
Paul said: "I believe there are talented players i
n the parks but they don't know we are about.
"It doesn't matter how old you are, even if you are 35, we want you to come down.
"It's a very exciting time at the club, we have a new committee, we have another under-18s side, an under-16s side and we are looking to grow the club again.
"The club has gone up two or three times and come back down with force and we want to get the infrastructure at the club right first so we are ready for promotion."
Former manager Bob Laundon left at the end of the season after the club finished rock bottom of County League Division Two.
After winning Division Three last season, Paul says patience is the key to the club's future.
He added: "If I am being realistic, it's rebuild time.
"The club's taken a hammering over the last few seasons.
"I will probably aim for a top six finish and if if promotion and a cup run come along then great.
"I think it will be difficult for a group of brand new players to get
promotion in their first full season together."
Pottage chairman Ryan Sallows, said: "I'm very pleased with an early appointment to the post.
"It's important we get the preparation right for both first, reserve
and under-18 squads, Paul's appointment will support that aim."
