Shaw century proves not enough

AUSSIE Mike Shaw hit an incredible 124 but Three Bridges still managed to lose to Cuckfield in a high-scoring game.
Nearly 700 runs were scored in an amazing game at Three Bridges Road on Saturday as Cuckfield won by two wickets.

Bridges made 345-5 declared after winning the toss with 124 from their Australian overseas player, Mike Shaw.

James Chadburn struck 79 and Danny Alderman added 60 to the total as Kamran Mirza took three for 49 against his former club.

Another ex-Bridges player, Tom Mole, hit 92, Graham Begley made 79 and James Thorpe got 50 to take Cuckfield to 348 for eight as Paul Smith took four for 48.
