CRAWLEY Wasps added to their success of claiming the East Sussex League title by winning their age-group at the Eastbourne Girls Six-A-Side Tournament.
After finishing top in their group of seven teams Wasps won through to the final against Southdown after playing a tense semi-final against the hosts that went to a sudden death penalty shoot-out.
The final was won 1-0 with an excellent strike by Lauren Callaghan.
Goalkeeper Rebecca barker made two excellent saves in the semi-final shoot-out and never conceded a goal in open play.
Captain Ashleigh Miller had the bravery to take a seocnd penalty after she'd had her first saved by the 'keeper.
Crawley Wasps are now recruiting for next season.
The FA Charter Club are looking for players in all age groups from school Year 5 girls right up to ladies.
All their coaches/managers are FA qualified and CRB checked.
They have successful teams in both Sussex and Surrey girls leagues, as well as two ladies teams.
The women have individually won promotion to the London & South East Regional Women's League and the South East Counties Women's League.
