JAMES BOARDMAN / 07967642437 Crawley Town's new signings Nicky Adams [Home kit] and Mat Sadler [Away] launch the clubs new kit for the Division 1 2012-13 season.

Mat Sadler says Crawley Town remain his best bet of achieving Championship football again.

Sadler moved to the Broadfield Stadium from Walsall, where is was firmly established as a fans’ favourite, in the summer after buying into then manager Sean O’Driscoll’s vision for Crawley. And one manager and 17 matches later, Sadler is certain he made the right choice - even if the Club’s infrastructure lags behind.

“It is absolutely the right decision, I felt at the time it was, and I feel exactly the same now,” he declared. “I felt I would have a good chance of getting back into the Championship.
“Off the pitch it will catch up if we are promoted, because it has to.
“The training pitch will be improved by next season and you can see the infrastructure at the club is improving, every time you go down there you see something new.

“It’s a work in progress and that is what is fantastic about Crawley.”

Former Birmingham full-back Sadler, 27, will face Walsall for the first time since leaving the Bescot Stadium this weekend when Crawley return to the Broadfield for the first time in three weeks - against the players who voted him Player of the Season at the Saddlers last year. He added: “I had a good time there.”
