Nicky Ajose has been recalled to the Crawley Town line-up for today’s League One visit of Shrewsbury Town.

Ajose replaces Billy Clarke, who suffered a hamstring injury against Chelmsford in the FA Cup last week, and is the only change to that side made by manager Richie Barker.

The on-loan Peterborough forward has scored a total of six goals for the Reds, including a hat-trick ten days ago against Whitehawk in the Sussex Senior Cup.

Otherwise, the Reds are unchanged, as Sergio Torres keeps his place in midfield for a second League start of the campaign, and defender Kyle McFadzean is still laid low by a virus.

Shrewsbury come into the game third from bottom, and yet to win a game on the road in League One.

Crawley Town: Paul Jones, Mat Sadler, David Hunt, Mark Connolly, Claude Davis, Hope Akpan, Sergio Torres, Josh Simpson, Nicky Adams, Nicky Ajose, Gary Alexander.

Subs: Conor Clifford, Joe Walsh, Dannie Bulman, John Akinde, Nathan Byrne, Mike Jones, Michel Kuipers.

Shrewsbury Town: Chris Weale, Jermaine Grandison, Joe Jacobson, Luke Summerfield, Darren Jones, Mark Wright, Matt Richards, Marvin Morgan, Jon Taylor, Connor Goldson, Luke Rodgers.

Subs: Rob Purdie, Tom Bradshaw, Asa Hall, Ryan Noble, Paul Parry, Aaron Wildig, Joe Anyon.
