St James’s won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Bridges welcomed back veteran opener James Chadburn, who opened with run-machine Joe Ludlow.

The game changed when Mike Rose was brought onto bowl.

Brad Gayler fell soon after, bringing the in-form Conor Golding to the crease.

Chadburn and Golding added 70 together before both fell to Murray, Chadburn making 33 and Golding 61.

Keeping tradition Bridges then had a mini-collapse with Walker, Rose and Tom Blandford falling quickly after.

Danny Alderman 23* and Gonzo 9* managed to get Bridges up to 181 before the rain forced players off.

Over an early tea Bridges declared setting St James’s 182 to win off 51 overs.

Bridges started well with Matt Blandford getting rid of Cooper’s middle stump.

From the other end, Danny Alderman rolled back the years taking the new ball bowled 15 economical overs finishing with 3-47.
