Crawley Town have signed former Turkish Premier League defender Alper Tursun on a one-year contract.
The London-born 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons playing for Turkish club Alanyaspor.
He made 60 league and cup appearances since joining Alanyaspor in 2014, including a loan spell with Ankara Demir.
He is a right-back with good technical ability and helped his club gain promotion to the Turkish Premier League.
Head coach Dermot Drummy said: “Alper is an excellent addition to the squad. Our scouting team have been aware of him for a while. He has picked up good experience in Turkey but he’s a London boy and was keen to come back and really push on in his career in England.
“He’s athletic, has a good touch and won’t be afraid of getting stuck in. We’re looking forward to seeing how he settles down here and I know he’s keen to make a big impression at Crawley.”
