It felt like a defeat - Boldewijn

Victory was snatched from Reds' grasp as Jamal Campbell-Ryce netted two minutes from time to ensure it finished 2-2 in the League 2 clash at The Hive Stadium.

Crawley twice let a lead slip in the contest with Rhys Murphy's first half strike cancelled out by a marvellous overhead-kick from Simeon Akinola. Then, Boldewijn's effort in the second was not enough to seal all three points as Campbell-Ryce's cross-shot late on was misjudged by Glen Morris in Crawley's goal.

Having conceded so close to full-time, the 24-year-old said it felt like a loss.

He said: "It did feel like a defeat because these are games that we should be winning.

"We needed the three points to keep up our winning run away from home. If we had got the win it would have been really good for us but unfortunately we drew.

"I really thought we had the three points after I got that goal to put us back ahead. We faced some pressure form them but I didn't expect them to get a second."

Boldewijn was the star for Crawley on the day, setting up Murphy for the first, then netting Reds' second.

It was a first goal since Boxing Day for the Dutchman and he was delighted to be back on the scoresheet.

Boldewijn added: "It was a great ball from Jimmy (Smith), in behind, I then lifted over the Barnet players head and came inside the only think I thought was getting in beyond the goalkeeper. After that celebrating with the fans was a great feeling."
