Crawley Town’s main scoreboard at the Checkatrade.com Stadium will not be in operation this weekend in their fixture against AFC Wimbledon.

The scoreboard has been a problem since the end of the last season and for several games, it wasn’t working at all.

Chief Executive Michael Dunford told the clubs official website, “In the summer we had three different companies come in to look at it. All three have said it is beyond repair.

“As a club we now have to decide what to do next. Even taking the current structure down is a costly exercise.

“I would like to apologise to our supporters for the inconvience caused. We are working hard to rectify this as quickly as we can on a cost-effective and more updated solution for the club.”
