Evans eyes Liverpool tie
MATT TUBBS CELEBRATES HIS GOAL AGAINST HULL CITY IN THE FA CUP WITH TYRONE BARNETT (PIC BY JON RIGBY)
REDS BOSS Steve Evans has hinted he would like to pit himself against Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.
Crawley Town booked their place in today’s Fifth Round draw with a superb 1-0 defeat of Hull City, thanks to Matt Tubbs’ second half goal yesterday. And while Evans stated his desire to earn a repeat of last year’s visit to Manchester United, he shifted focus after Liverpool knocked Sir Alex Ferguson’s men out of the competition yesterday.
Evans joked: “Well there is another Glasgow man left in it, and that’s Kenny, being a Celtic man too.
“We are just pleased to be in the next round. We would love a big club, for my benefit I would love to be at home, but we are so pleased to be there and recognise the achievement of beating a side such as Hull City.”
