Crawley man Gareth Southgate has been appointed as England manager on a four-year contract.
Southgate, 46, took over as caretaker after Sam Allardyce's departure after only 67 days in charge.
The former England u21s manager grew up in Crawley and went to Pound Hill Juniors and Hazelwick.
He oversaw two wins and two draws, including the 2-2 with Spain at Wembley, as interim boss.
Southgate took a significant step towards being appointed full-time manager with a 3-0 win against Scotland in qualifying earlier this month.
