Under-13s

Crawley Wasps thrashed Horsham Sparrows 13-0 in this Sussex League Cup quarter-final with a display of quick, passing football from start to finish.

Last week Wasps sealed the Sussex U13 League Championship in emphatic fashion with a thumping 5-1 victory over closest rivals Eastbourne Borough.

Amy Perry scored the first after five minutes and Wasps didn’t look back.

Delaney was rewarded for her efforts with two well taken goals, both assisted by Lacey Hughes.

A further three goals from Perry, two from Yasmin Church and five from Tia Perry who also had an outstanding game saw Wasps safely through to the semi-finals.

Yasmin Church powered through the Eastbourne defence coolly finding the top corner from the edge of the box.

Wasps ran riot in the second half and with Alana Delaney, Macy Watts and Church before Amy Perry put Wasps ahead going in off the post.

Church then added a sublime second, lobbing the Eastbourne keeper from outside the box. Further goals came from Tia Perry and a second for Amy Perry following a poor goalkick.

Under-15s

Crawley Wasps gained a 3-0 victory against Seahaven Harriers in the Sussex League quarter-final.

Tamzin Byworth scored directly from a free-kick to give them the lead.

The second half saw a lot of play between both teams, both teams had chances but a shot from Sarah Pepper at goal was helped in by an own goal from Seahaven.

The Wasps’ third goal by Jordan Bunday came from a pass from Sarah to Jordan who ran through Seahaven’s defence and scored.

Two fine late saves from Lauren Graves stopped Eastbourne from stealing a second goal.

Under-14s

Goals by Amy Perry (2), Chloe Coaker, Caitlin Balgent earned Crawley Wasps a place in Sussex Cup semi-final with a 4-2 victory against Cuckfield Cosmos.

Jodie Barker clipped the crossbar and flew narrowly over. They face Horsham Sparrows in the semi-final.
