CRAWLEY Town have announced seven players will be released in an end-of-season clear out.

Dean Howell, Pablo Mills, John Dempster. Ben Smith, Glenn Wilson, Jamie Day and Byron Napper have been told they have no future at the club, while the Reds have taken an option to extend the contracts of Kyle McFadzean, Claude Davis, Hope Akpan, Sergio Torres and Scott Neilson until June next year. New deals have been offered to goalkeepers Scott Shearer and Michel Kuipers, while loan players Warren Cummings and Sanchez Watt will return to their parent clubs of Bournemouth and Arsenal respectively.

Mills’ agent Gino Culbertson remarked: “The club has advised Pablo he is not going to be retained so he has left the club.

“It is quite sad, he has had a brilliant relationship with the fans, and wishes the club all the best in League 1. He has had a great time there but sometimes it is time to move on.”

Reds caretaker manatger Craig Brewster said: “We have a good core of players to take us into League 1 next season and the task now is to add to that squad.”
