O’Hara: ‘A couple of wins and we’ll be alright’

Three Bridges midfielder Joel O’Hara can see his side beating the drop because of the amount of quality which is in the squad.
He points to unlucky decisions such as two penalty appeals he had which were turned down by the referee as being crucial in answering why Bridges lie bottom of the league and five points adrift.
O’Hara, 32, said: “We just haven’t been getting the rub of the green, like today against Burgess Hill I had two appeals for penalties which weren’t given, probably because I don’t complain enough!
“A couple of wins and we’ll be alright, we are such a good team. Before today I thought we could win this match but again it was unfortunate that Dean (Carden) got sent-off.”
O’Hara reckoned the side battled well for a 0-0 draw and was impressed with the new signings.
He said: “It was just hard graft. We defended so well in the wind. I was chuffed with a point but we need wins really.
“We missed Tim Rivers (injured) who holds the ball up really well and we miss Elliott Romain too who went on loan to YMCA and didn’t come back. Yaw Boeteng did really well, I was well impressed. Ellis and Marlon were solid from the corners. It was a bit unfair because we played two on the right and only one on the left, I had two jobs!”
O’Hara would like to see improved results from their next two games starting on Saturday with a tough trip to third-placed Leatherhead followed by another difficult journey to face second-placed Dulwich Hamlet.
O’Hara said: “Four points would be good, we just need to score some goals!”
