Sussex Orangeboom League Two West

Littlehampton 5 St Francis 17

The Saints started off their season with a convincing away win.

Littlehampton capitalised on this by scoring within the first five minutes.

But these were the only points their opposition could muster as Saints finally found their feet and saw captain Tom Bruce cross the line for first of three Saints’ tries.

Each side wasn’t prepared to back down and so a physical and intensive afternoon ensued which saw Zefara cross over in the first half followed by a spot on conversion by McShane.

The Saints’ forwards proved a force to be reckoned with as they bullied Littlehampton in the line-out, scrums, and rucks.

This eventually lead to a great second half try by Ben Lovett.

In the calm of the storm scrum-half Will Ashford-Brown kept the tempo right and linked the forward and back play perfectly.
