Johanna Konta refused to complain about a hectic fixture schedule at the Australian Open that will see her play two matches in two day.
Konta beat Zhang Shuai of China to set up a semi-final showdown with Angelique Kerber of Germany (4.30am Thursday UK time).
The British No.1 said, “I’m fine, Whatever comes, I’m enjoying it. I would have to be a real princess to start complaining now.”
Konta has little reason to complain. She is in the form of her life and is guaranteed prize money of £370,000 after her extended run Down Under.
She was ranked 47 in the world before this tournament and her exploits mean she is likely to break into the world’s top 30 on the back of her success in Melbourne.
