Every six months Springfit Gymnastics and Trampoline Club hand out progress medals to their hard working progress medals to their hard working trampoline students.
The gold medal presentation is greatly anticipated by the club’s trampolinists as they all work hard on improving themselves within the sport but achievements of gaining the next level of official recognition slows as the moves get harder.
The progress award is therefore a good way to ensure their continued efforts are still rewarded and this goes for their adult trampolinists as well as the children!
During the week when the medals are awarded , Springfit run special sessions giving parents and friends opportunity to come and watch the class.
The students demonstrate their latest acquired skills and moves and it is so great to see the improvements in basic balance and coordination as well as the more subtle aspects such as increased spatial awareness and confidence.
When deciding upon their progress medal winners, Springfit coaches have had to take numerous points into consideration such as a trampolinists’ increase in confidence, their determination and attentiveness in class (including ‘spotting’ to help ensure their classmates are safe), perseverance with a tricky move, improvements in balance and coordination and good attendance levels.
Congratulations to Charlie Foster and Scarlett Bowden, Harry Rest, Esther Sturch, Ciara Fitzsimons and Christian Edwards who achieved this medal on their fantastic progress throughout the last six months.
They all train at Springfit’s Oriel High School training centre in Maidenbower where sessions run on Fridays and Saturdays.
