APART from a couple of scares, Bridges always had the upper hand against Ringmer.
The visitors side are rejuvenated since former Jubilee Field boss Sammy Donnelly took over as manager at the start of the year.
And Bridges did it despite being influential players such as Lee Carney and Ellis Hooper.
Clinton Moore had a shot blocked after only five minutes following a great cross by Scott Faber, but Bridges went ahead in the 14th minute when Jayson Sowter brought down the flying Siao Blackwood in the box.
After some prolonged arguments with the referee by the visitors, Moore kept his cool and sent the penalty past Tom Rand’s despairing dive into the bottom left corner of the net.
But a rare moment of slackness in the home defence allowed Ringmer to level just six minutes later when Nick Wheeler’s free-kick was turned in by Joe Dryer.
Bridges almost responded immediately when Charlie Cooke’s corner was met by the head of Andy Howard, but the ball went just over the bar.
But on the half hour another excellent Cooke corner to the far post was met by a superb header from the outstanding Callum Donaghey to restore Bridges’ lead.
James Grant then saw a solid drive blocked, and the ball came wide to Moore, who sidestepped keeper Rand before drilling the ball back across goal, only for Grant’s shot to fly over the bar.
Substitute Abu Touray had a great chance to get onto the scoresheet two minutes after replacing Moore at half-time.
He took the long ball down superbly but then drove wide, but after 51 minutes he did grab Bridges’ third after some great determined work by Elliott Romain.
Blackwood headed over from Nigel Brake’s cross as Bridges suddenly threatened to run riot, while another Donaghey header from a Cooke corner was cleared off the line.
Simon Lehkyj dealt well with a low free-kick by Glen Matten, but 11 minutes from time Blackwood’s excellent cross was met by the head of Romain to put the home side 4-1 up.
Two minutes later though Grant, who had been busy all afternoon, conceded a free-kick on the edge of the box and Dryer struck home his and Ringmer’s second superbly into the top right corner.
There was a minor flurry from the visitors, but Howard and Donaghey were both in superb form at the heart of Bridges’ defence, and the win was overall as comfortable as the scoreline suggests.
