Crawley Wasps 4

Toni Smith completed a superb hat-trick as Wasps learnt the lessons of the defeat the week before and returned with an invaluable three points from their trip to Hertfordshire.

Smith opened her account with a 15-yard shot home to the left of the keeper.

Holly Walker supplied Smith on the half hour to calmly finish for her brace.

With half-time approaching Hemel Hempstead pulled a goal back on the break.

The hosts were fastest out of the blocks after the break and stand-in keeper Natalie Stephenson was forced to make some brave blocks.

On 70 minutes Smith held it up for Barry to make it 3-1 over the keeper’s head from a tight angle.

With five minutes left Smith sealed victory with a cracking 18-yard drive.

Wasps: Stephenson, Harding, T Smith, Walker, Elliott, N Smith, Martin (Capt), Elphick, Barry, Worsfold, Ward, Hallgren, McCarthy.

Wallace Walker Player of the Natch: Zoe Martin
