9th Bexhill Scouts - August 15

An exciting afternoon activity tested Scouting Skills, learnt within Scouting's balanced programme.

These included: first aid, map and compass, ropework, initiative, leadership, scoutcraft, adventure, international, local community/environment, creative, fit for life, beliefs and attitudes, survival, camping, cooking, expedition navigation and water activities.

The four gained first place and were awarded the County Skills Shield, not gained before within Senlac District.

The evening event, The Colditz Trophy followed, objective being to "escape from Colditz ", requiring all items necessary to aid an escape presented a further challenge, visiting bases and not being captured by Explorer guards.

A points system operated to decide the eventual winning team. The overall Challenge emphasises the fun in Scouting.
