Associate director Chantelle Rountree said: “Our summer exhibition this year will feature a selection of equine and birds works by our best-known contemporary artists in these fields. In the equine category we have new paintings by Marcus Hodge, Michelle McCullagh and Jo Taylor and new equine sculpture by Camilla Le May, Frippy Jameson and Philip Blacker. In the birds of world section we have new works by Justin Prigmore, Jim Starr, David Ord Kerr and Emma Faull.”

The show sees the gallery back in business after more than 12 weeks of closure.

“During this time we have tried to maintain a good online presence with our client base, as well as changing our exhibition dates for the rest of the year, although a number of fairs have had to be cancelled.

“We also joined with various other dealers and artists looking to raise money for the NHS and offshoot charities that were effected by CV19. This culminated in reaching a total charitable donation of £14,230 via different sales and timed auctions over April and May.

“Now that the world has started to re-open we are excited to resume business as usual, but in a safe environment for our clients.

“With the usual cleaning at the start and end of the day, and hand sanitisers, we hope you will visit us once again to enjoy the various exhibitions that we have lined up for the rest of 2020.

“Above all we hope all of our clients have remained safe and healthy in this pandemic, and we cannot wait to see you all again soon.”

The full summer programme includes:

Summer exhibition, July 14-August 29.

Gordon Rushmer – The Wind in the Trees – September 12-25: an exhibition of paintings celebrating the tenth anniversary of the South Downs National Park – emailer postcard attached.

There will also be an autumn show in October and Back From The Hill in November.
