Bands prepare for battle at fun festival weekend in Horsham

Horsham's long-running Battle of the Bands competition is back this month with the grand final festival weekend taking place on Saturday and Sunday, August 13-14, in Horsham Park's Human Nature Garden.

Doors will open at 12.30pm each day with the Covers competition on the Saturday afternoon from 1pm followed by the Originals final from 5pm.

The Acoustic competition will then bring the event to a close on the Sunday afternoon from 1pm.

As an extra special bonus, the winners of last year’s competitions Catfish, Team New Band and Jodie Munday will all return to play headline sets while the judges deliberate in each competition.

The weekend will have a circus theme throughout with workshops for kids and professional circus performers on site.

There will also be two licensed bars, one selling local Hepworth beers and ciders and a brand new cocktail bar courtesy of local hotspot The Dead Parrot.

Sussex-based caterers Apple & Cor! Cuisine will be on site throughout the weekend providing quality food.

Under 12s go free, otherwise it is £5 entry on the Saturday and £4 entry on the Sunday.

£7 weekend discount tickets are available in advance from the BotB website at www.horshambotb.co.uk.

All proceeds go towards covering the costs of this non-profit event.

The website is hosting an online People’s Choice poll where fans can check out the bands and vote for their favourites.
