Horsham author launches seventh adult crime novel

The Ice Daughters is the second book in the DC Dove Milson series, published by Joffe Books.

Daisy said: “I wrote this book during the first lockdown. Juggling home school and working from home was hard, but I managed to meet the deadline and was very encouraged by the response to book one in the series, Glass Dolls. If lots of people ask for another book and engage with the characters, you want to deliver it for them!”

“Ice and snow were very much on my mind when I wrote this, and because of the subject matter I had to do a lot police, medical and historical research. I am so grateful to the professionals who gave advice/talked me through procedures and answered my many questions.

“The series has already been snapped up by LA-based audio producer, Podium Audio, who are currently casting for the narration. The audiobooks will be available in 2021.”

Daisy started writing on the back of napkins when flying as cabin crew. After a variety of other jobs, including working as a 999 call handler for the ambulance service, in A&E as a healthcare assistant and in a supermarket, she finally began writing full time in 2017.

After initially self-publishing, and learning a lot about the publishing industry, her first cosy crime series, The Ruby Baker Mysteries (Joffe Books), was published in 2017-8. This was followed by two psychological thrillers, Remember Me and The Forgotten Child (HarperCollins) in 2019.
