Jason Young, 32, of Crawley, also a customer assistant at a Horsham cafe, is inviting local bands and singers to get in touch with their availabilities ahead of the event in September.

He aims to bring people together for a night of music to help him give back to a charitable cause that supports people through music.

Jason has attended for the last few months Nordoff Robbins, a national charity that helps people with a range of emotional and mental health problems, learning difficulties and disabilities using music therapy.

He said: ”I do feel I have benefited from attending these appointments, and they have made a positive contribution to my wellbeing - knowing when I go there, I look forward to being free in the sounds I can make, or emotions I cannot communicate can transpire into sounds into the music room is amazing.”

He added: “Fundraising for Nordoff Robbins seemed a natural way forward after completing the Three Peaks Challenge, walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, in aid of Mind last year, which was incredible.”

Mind is a national charity that provides advice and support and campaigns for people experiencing a mental health problem.
