Celebrating 50 years in the circus

Celebrating 50 years in the circus, Gerry Cottle brings its spectacular show to Chichester.

They will be on the Hunston Car Boot Site (Spring Field), B2145, PO20 1NR, from Thursday, August 8-Tuesday-August 13.

Spokeswoman Asia Sawicka is promising 50 acts in 100 minutes.

“It is just over 50 years since Gerry Cottle completed that age-old adage and ran away and joined the circus, swapping his suburban London home for a caravan and his schoolbooks for a set of juggling clubs. He soon excelled and expanded his repertoire to include stilt-walking, bareback horse-riding, fire-eating, clowning and even a became a crocodile trainer, as explained in his recent biography Confessions of a Showman – My life in the circus.

“Gerry Cottles Circus not only toured all over the UK but also in Ireland, the Far East, The Middle East, South America Europe & even Iceland, becoming the most widely travelled British circus in history.
