Crazy talent coming to DLWP stage

A successful recording artists in Australia, Butler takes his influences and transcends them, mixing ancient with current;he is additionally hailed as a great guitarist, and musician’s musician.

His latest album, Flesh & Blood, is a testament to his talent, and to a man who has finally found himself. “I wanted the songs to be a lot more guttural and fleshier,” he commented. “I wanted to smell it and feel it a bit more. And I wanted my voice, now and always, to be more convincing.”

He and the rest of the band are described as “crazily talented musicans and each one a master of their craft.”

Following on from a sold-out UK tour and supporting soul singer Angie Stone, JP Cooper returns with When the Darkness Comes EP.

The 4-song project explores a journey of love, longing and loss. Considered a Future Sound of 2015, the dreadlocked, blue-eyed singer-songwriter from Middleton, north Manchester, supported Taylor Swift at her Hyde Park gig in June and opened up the main stage during the Latitude Festival. Influenced by Donnie Hathaway, Bill Rivers and Stevie Wonder, Cooper was also a singer with Manchester’s finest gospel choir, The Manchester Sing Out Choir.
