First concert with renowned guitarist

The West Sussex Guitar Club’s first concert of 2012 will be given by the renowned classical guitarist Graham Devine on Friday, January 13, followed by a workshop (open to all) on the following day, Saturday, January 14.

Spokesman Terry Woodgate said: “From an early age Graham was influenced by the popular guitar music of the time and attended Chethams, a school for musically-gifted children. As a teenager he followed his dream, he left England and stayed in Brazil to broaden his knowledge of guitar music. After a while he became an established teacher and performer there, giving recitals and master classes throughout South America.

“He has won several international guitar competitions in some cases the only English guitarist to have won these awards. His CD releases have received excellent reviews.”
