Glowing line-upof top artists forsummer season

Shoreham’s Ropetackle is promising a sparkling summer programme as the venue continues impressively to raise its profile.

Spokesman Mark Phillips said: “Summer is just around the corner, and in the spirit of the season Ropetackle is delighted to announce the arrival of its summer programme – a glowing line-up of events running from May to August, and the perfect way to fill those long summer evenings.

“The complete programme is now online at ropetacklecentre.co.uk and the brochure can be found in the centre as well as at shops, businesses, and other outlets across Adur.

“We’ve got a glorious array of music, comedy, theatre, film, talks, family shows and more, plus the Adur Festival which takes place from May 24- June 8.

“Highlights include Squeeze front-man and guitarist Glenn Tilbrook (May 24) performing an intimate solo acoustic show.

“An hilarious stand-up from comedy kings Mark Steel (May 31), and Mark Thomas (July 3), iconic Scottish singer Barbara Dickson (June 14), best-selling Brighton based crime-writer Peter James launching his new book (June 9).

“Leading French-Canadian folk outfit Le Vent Du Nord (June 13), Rod Stewart guitarist Jim Cregan with X-Factor finalist Ben Mills (June 27), acoustic blues master Woody Mann (June 6), a talk from cartoonist and political satirist Martin Rowson (July 10).
