“An iconic film of German expressionist cinema, Nosferatu was the first ever screen adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula – the original and landmark entry into the entire global genre of the horror film,” Elizabeth-Jane explains.

“It remains one of the most potent and disturbing horror films ever made. The sight of the hollow-eyed, cadaverous vampire rising creakily from his coffin still retains the ability to chill the blood. It is not by chance that the screening is scheduled to take place on Halloween Night in one of the most atmospheric venues in the area, Chidham and Hambrook Village Hall.”

Elizabeth-Jane was born in Emsworth, educated at Emsworth Primary School, Portsmouth High School, and Chichester College. During her early years she was introduced to the harp under the tuition of Ann Hughes-Chamberlain at The Hindhead School of Music.

In fact, Mrs Hughes-Chamberlain sold Elizabeth-Jane her own beloved harp, Sir Lancelot, saying: “You are my first student worthy of him!”

Further studies continued at Exeter University and the Royal College of Music in London.

Elizabeth-Jane has composed harp accompaniments for several restored silent films from the 1920s. She has performed all over England, in America, Italy and France.
