Here's Glucking at you.....

Gluck was a bad-tempered and brilliant painter. And now she's back in the land of the living.

The Company take to the streets of Steyning once again with their site-specific theatre trail depicting one of Steyning's most colourful residents '“ Gluck, the celebrated artist.

Stephen Israel, of the East Chiltington-based The Company, said: "The Company have been going nearly two years now.

"We started with a tour of village halls and arts centres, and then we started getting commissioned to do site-specific theatre trails.

"We have done loads. We have done the Weald and Downland, we have done Steyning, we have got a commission to do the five great gardens of West Sussex next year, and we are doing Amberley this October."

But a particular favourite has been GluckSteyne, the piece they did specifically for Steyning last year, a piece they are reviving for this year's Steyning Festival, starring Israel's partner, Suzi Hopkins, in the title role.
