Journey into Narnia

C S Lewis’ magical story is brought to the stage by Surrey’s principal youth theatre in a stirring adaptation by Glyn Robbin (The Electric Theatre, Onslow Street, Guildford, Thursday to Sunday, April 14-17 at 2pm and 7pm, tickets on 01483 444789).

Join The Man In The Moon theatre company and Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy as they step through the wardrobe into the mysterious land of Narnia, with a cast of over 80 young people aged six to 16 from as far afield as Walton-on-Thames and Liphook.

Director Paul Rogers-Branch said: “It’s such an exciting story and the cast are having a great time bringing the animal and human characters to life. They’re really relishing the opportunity of telling the story and we are creating some really exciting battle scenes, with physical theatre to help us along. The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe follows sold out performances of the whimsical Doctor Dolittle last Christmas. The youngsters have been rehearsing since January.

The Man In The Moon, founded in 1990, runs weekly drama workshops and day camps throughout Surrey and Hampshire and celebrates its 21st birthday with this production.
