Rockin’ The Park will be staged at Horsham Sports and Cricket Club over two days, Saturday September 7 and Sunday 8.

It will bring together some of the best pop, rock, choirs and orchestras as well as providing a stage to showcase for some of the South’s finest unsigned artists. The event will be a fun day out for the whole family with food, refreshments, arts and crafts, bouncy castles, face painting and other family activities throughout the days.

Acts are still being announced but those already confirmed for Saturday are: Half Hour Hotel; Taygan Paxton, Duke, Janey Bombshell and Misha B.

Sunday will see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra headlining with a set titled ‘Best of Broadway’ in what is believed to be their first performance in the town.

They will be joined by the Military Wives Choir and a host of other performers.

Rockin’ The Park is being organised by Stage It UK Ltd, an events management company formed by Matt Andrews and Rachael Dickie, who have both lived in horsham for their entire lives. They have more than 20 years experience in the music industry as performers and event organisers.

Matt said: “Horsham used to host a large scale music event on an annual basis, called Fanfare In The Park, but this event has not been staged since 2002.

“With the increase in local music events in the town centre and Horsham Park we thought it about time these larger scale events were back on the calendar and so decided to form Stage It UK Ltd and start planning our first major event.

“Almost two years later and we have everything in place with tickets on sale. We hope this will become a regular annual event in Horsham and that it can grow over the years.

“We believe we now have a winning formula and team, and plan on hosting these events all over the UK.”
