Horsham Sports and Cricket Club, September 7 and 8

RTP Horsham (as it seems to be known as) is now less than four weeks away and tickets are selling like...well, a bit like tickets being sold from box offices (which is nice).

Last week we brought you details of the main artist on the line-up and this week we bring you details of the local artists supporting this event and taking to the stage.

Joining The Feeling, Misha B and Duke on Saturday, September 7, will be Janey Bombshell, Horsham’s finest Glam Rocker.

Half Hour Hotel, the band once described as “a bit like Coldplay but better”, and Taygan Paxton, acoustic BoTB winner, will also be playing.

Steeped in sounds from the 1970s, Janey’s new album Rocka-Roll-Around features 12 original songs that range from bombastic guitar driven ‘Glam Rock’, through Abba-style pop and heart wrenching ballads.

It shows Janey as a truly incredible vocalist who really can sing just about anything.

Both Janey’s smash singles appear on the record, namely ‘Glam-sister Radio’ and ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Your Girlfriend’ – two songs currently receiving radio play all around the world.

The album features guest stars including Mick Wilson current lead singer of ‘10cc’, who duets with Janey and who has co-written several songs on the album. Legendary songwriter for Elvis Presley and Barry Manilow, the amazing David Martin makes a special guest appearance as writer and vocalist.

Half Hour Hotel are an English Indie rock band formed in Brighton in the Winter of 2011. The name derived from a farcical argument over many, many weeks trying to conjure up something magical. They do all agree on the music though: atmospheric, full sound with a good melody.

After a productive 2012 touring the south of England, Half Hour Hotel will release their debut single, Run From Sirens, in Spring 2013.

It was produced by Abbey Road Engineer Pete Hutchings (Kylie, Gaga, Florence) at Yellow Fish Studios in East Sussex.

Half Hour Hotel are: David (vocals, keys, guitar), Lewis (lead guitar, vocals), Kevin (bass) and David (drums and vocals).

Taygan Paxton has been an established acoustic artist since 2009 creating her own original music with just an acoustic guitar and soothing vocals. She currently studies at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and has been studying there for nearly two years being taught by some of the best musicians/producers in the business. Taygan always aims to entertain and gives it her all at gigs. You will never receive anything less.

Joining The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Military Wives Choir on Sunday, September 8, will be a selection of local choirs and orchestras.
