and with Norbet Brainin of the Amadeus String Quartet. Robin Morrish, her husband, a Choral Scholar at King’s College Cambridge, studied with Professor Sasha Lasserson, of the Russian School of Leopold Auer, and Professor Igor Ozium in Cologne.

Club spokesman Raymond Greenlees said: “This is the second visit of the Medway String Quartet to Music on Sundays, and they have also played in the Chichester Cathedral Lunchtime Series

“The Quartet is based in West Kent, and takes its name from the river that flows through the area. They are playing an interesting programme which includes a rare quartet by the ‘Spanish Mozart’ Arriaga who died very young. They will also play the first in the series of late Beethoven quartets which is his Opus 127.

“Non-members of Music On Sundays are very welcome to come to this concert. Tickets are £8 (students £4) and are available at the door or by telephoning Jean Greenlees 01243 527425. The ticket price includes a free programme and interval drink.”
