Rick Wakeman comes to Worthing

FOR the star of TV's Grumpy Old Men, Rick Wakeman is remarkably cheerful and chipper. But then again, as he says, grumpy is cheerful. It's the way we Brits are.

Wakeman, who brings the grumpy concept to Worthing's Assembly Halls on Friday April 18, says the whole point is that we moan about things we can't control.

"So we might as well moan about it because it is funny!"

As he observes, we are the only nation that does it:" Think of the French. If they thought that bread was too expensive, they wouldn't buy it for two weeks, and the price would go down.

"We would just moan about it and buy two loaves."
