THE month of March started with a visit to London that allowed free time and followed with the matinee performance of Mama Mia at the Prince of Wales Theatre, which was enjoyed by all who came.

The chairman who welcomed the veterans and was appreciative of those who had made their Easter cakes and cards opened the March meeting, at St Peter's Community Centre. A member from each of the areas, Eastbourne, Bexhill, and Hastings judged the cakes and cards. The ladies of Bexhill, who were thanked by the chairman, provided the refreshments for the afternoon. The afternoon concluded with a quiz and the usual raffle.

The next club afternoon is at the St Peters Hall in Bexhill on April 10 when the speaker will be from the Health Department. The March bowls afternoon on the 27th was enjoyed by 16 members with the usual competitive nature within the three groups, and the next bowls afternoon is on April 24 at the Ravenside Centre when all are welcome.
