Steeleye fiddler’s bandset to perform in Rye

HOT on the heels of their acclaimed performance at this year’s Hastings Jack in the Green Festival Peter Knight’s Gigspanner are due to perform at Rye Community Centre on Sunday November 25.

Formed by iconic Steeleyespan fiddle player Peter Knight, Gigspanner has a well established reputation across the UK and further afield.

G gspanner’s material has its roots in the traditional music of the British Isles. But it also audaciously flirts with Eastern European, Cajun, African, French and even Aboriginal influences. It is fitting that Author Terry Pratchett wrote that “Peter Knight can spin the world on his Bow”.
