Strictly social dance with Ian Waite

The Main Theatre will be transformed into a cabaret style setting and Ian will make a special appearance during the evening to teach a group dance, offer tips and answer questions.

It’s the perfect opportunity to show off your dance steps, meet new people and have fun.

Best known for his role as one of the professional dancers on The BBC’s hit show Strictly Come Dancing, Ian has appeared in almost every series aired (competing in six of them) and has built up a following of dedicated fans.

Ian’s dance career started at the age of ten when he accompanied his younger brother to Saturday dance lessons and was enticed onto the dance floor for the first time.

It was very clear to all that, despite being in his school rugby and football teams, Ian was a born performer and dancer.

His achievements include: Winner Dutch Professional Championship with Natalia Panina, Runner-Up Open British Professional Rising Stars Championship with Inga Haas, Runner-Up French Open Professional Championship, Runner-Up World Professional Latin American Showdance Championship with Daisy Croes, Runner-Up UK Closed Professional Latin American Championship with Camilla Dallerup and many more.

Dancers can enjoy a pre-event two course meal from 5.45pm at Café Vita for £12.95 per person.
