Summer eveningdelights

Arrangements of a number-one hit, a well-loved children’s hymn and a piece written to celebrate the Millennium are among the music to be performed by The Boundstone Chorus at their summer concert.

The Boundstone Chorus will present Music for a Summer Evening in St Michael and All Angels Church, South Street, Lancing on Saturday, June 21 at 7.30pm.

The 70-strong chorus under the direction of Aedan Kerney will perform a range of music including the Westlife hit You Raise Me Up, Howard Goodall’s Millennium setting of the hymn Love Divine and Eleanor Farjeon’s Morning Has Broken Along with Hubert Parry’s My Soul There Is A Country, excerpts from Stanford’s Songs Of The Sea and arrangements of I Am A Small Part Of The World and Goodnight Sweetheart.

Musical director Aedan said: “The Chorus are presenting a very enjoyable and mixed programme for their summer concert.

“The programme includes a range of pieces, some that you will know and some that you will learn and grow to love!”

The Boundstone Chorus was formed in 1982 and meets from 7.15-9.15pm on Wednesday evenings (school term time only) at St Michael’s Church Hall, South Street, Lancing.
