THE Boomtown Rats were high impact when they first hit the charts back in the 1970's- an impact guitarist Garry Roberts explains away easily.
"We were grounded in r&b and aggression. We just thought everyone else was useless and we were great!"
Maybe there will be some of that attitude still when The Rats, the band's latest incarnation, hit the road.
They play Martlett's Hall on Sunday February 1 (01444 342888) and The Brook in Southampton on Friday February 13.
