The story ofGlenn Millerat White Rock
At the White Rock Theatre on Saturday, January 25, from 7.30pm Terry Steel’s Astor Big Band will perform music from Glenn Miller’s years as a session musician, along with songs written by Tommy Dorsey, Paul Whiteman, Benny Goodman, and will feature the actual arrangement which first used the Miller saxophone sound.
Visitors can sit back and enjoy an evening of all the greatest hits, including American Patrol, Moonlight Serenade, Little Brown Jug, In The Mood, and Chattanooga Choo Choo. Also included are the Something old/Something Blue/Something Borrowed and Something Blue medleys.

Hide AdThe show will also feature number 1 hits from his two major Hollywood films – It Happened in Sun Valley and Orchestra Wives which include That’s Sabotage – which was a number 1 hit for Marian Hutton and subsequently performed at one of Glenn’s many War Bond fundraising concerts and raised more than $4,000,000 in a single day.
