In spite of the recent hot weather, Danny’s continues to grow in popularity. Said one reviewer; “Went to the Birch Hotel last Friday, and had a brilliant evening’s entertainment for £5! Came home on a natural high - will definitely be there next month, with all my friends - do come!”

Sussex-based Comedy producer and owner of the Club, Daniel Kington said; “The last show proved another huge success and I can promise everyone an even more powerful line up next time. At the same time as offering real value for money, we cultivate a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that greatly benefits both the performers and the audience. With the passing of Tim French’s superb concerts, we need to do all we can to bring live, professional entertainment to the area. After all, people work very hard and deserve an opportunity to let their hair down with their friends and relatives without trekking to Brighton or London to get it.”

The choice of locating to the Birch Hotel has proven to be a popular one for Daniel. Prominently located on the A272 at the head of the new Relief Road it offers comfort and style and a hospitality team unrivalled anywhere in the area. Said Daniel; “They’ve even laid on a proper Green Room for the Acts to relax and prepare for their sets. Last month they even served up focaccia bread dipped in olive oil. It was actually a mistaken restaurant order but I didn’t let on. For comedians used to far more Spartan arrangements, the look on their faces was a picture.”

There are no fewer than seven acts and a singer appearing at the Birch Hotel on 30th August:

Headlining is rising star Omar Hamdi, a professional comedian with a thoroughbred pedigree. Omar has supported A-list stars Russell Kane, Ava Vidal on tour and the great Milton Jones, all heroes of BBC’s Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo. A regular sell-out at the Edinburgh Fringe, he was a recent finalist at their So You Think You’re Funny awards. He regularly gigs for massive corporate events like GlaxoSmithKline, Oxfam and Ernst & Young where he co-hosted with Nick Clegg’s wife Miriam. Affable and incredibly funny, Omar Hamdi’s is a name that you will definitely be hearing again.
