Antony & Cleopatra sheds new light on Shakespeare’s political tale

Politician Marc Antony embarks on a daring, but ultimately doomed election campaign, torn between his desire for ultimate power, or for the ultimate woman.

The show is Antony & Cleopatra, presented by Unmasked Theatre on Sunday, August 16, at 3pm at The Hawth Studio, Crawley.

“Set in a 1930s cabaret club and focusing on the rise of the paparazzi, the blurring of the personal and the private, and the politics of the persona, Unmasked Theatre shed a new light to Shakespeare’s strongly political tale,” said spokeswoman Lorraine McGregor.
