Comedy club prepares for hilarious Halloween with seven stand-ups

Popular Sussex stand-up venue Danny’s Comedy Club is laying on a Halloween Special this month at the Birch Hotel in Haywards Heath.

No fewer than seven comedians (plus a singer) will be entertaining crowds, daring to venture out for a night of laughs and top-class entertainment.

Back by popular demand, Pete Beckley headed the cast on Danny’s first ever show at the Birch Hotel. With a deadpan delivery and hilariously surreal take on life, Pete has performed all over the UK alongside some of the biggest names in comedy, including Reginald D. Hunter, Ian Stone and Micky Flanagan.

Bristol-based George Rigden is a musical stand up who, despite having only been performing since June last year, has already racked up in excess of sixty gigs and is making a big impression on the UK comedy scene. Regularly performing at the Oppo Comedy Night, George has already gigged with famous comedians Phil Nichol and Russell Howard, among others.

A full-time comic since 2010, John Pendal is another hugely popular act bringing to Danny’s Comedy Club a wealth of experience and a great pedigree. He has performed in ten countries and at 33 cities in the USA, including the famous New York Comedy Club. He is an Edinburgh Festival regular, where he was a finalist at the So You Think You’re Funny Awards in 2011, as well as a finalist at the Leicester Square New Act of the Year in 2012.

Intelligent and cerebral, Graham Milton has become a firm fixture at all the comedy clubs of substance around the country. Cited as “original and quite brilliant”, Milton’s world-weary misanthropic persona is sure to compliment the Club’s Halloween line-up.

Hilarious and slightly surreal, Ian Miller has been performing stand-up since 2009. Finalist at the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year Contest 2012 and regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, Ian makes a triumphant return to Danny’s after fifteen months.
