Dance classes proving popular

Sway Dance launched at The Hawth in October 2012 with Zumba and Street Dance classes which have gone from strength to strength.

Growing numbers have been coming along to have fun, learn to dance and keep fit and make friends and 2013 looks set to be a year of dance at The Hawth as we continue to build on the success of these classes and add some new ones too.

Street Dance continues in the new year with classes for all ages taking place on Mondays from 7 January, while adults looking for a fun way to work off the excesses of the festive season can look forward to more fun, high energy Zumba at 6pm on Wednesdays from 9 January.

Sway Dance at The Hawth will also be offering three exciting new classes for 2013, with Pilates starting on Monday mornings from 7 January, give a gentle and effective way to stretch, strengthen and restore the body’s balance regardless of age or fitness.

They say you are never to young to start dancing and that’s certainly proved by Ballet Tots, a new class for ages

2 – 4 years which gives boys and girls the change to enhance their movement abilities through the world of music and dance while building confidence, social skills and imagination. Classes start on Thursdays from 10 January.

If you have a budding performer in the house aged 7 plus then the new Musical Theatre course on Saturdays from 12 January will be perfect to get them acting, singing and dancing their way onto the stage, all while making friends and having a fantastic time under the guidance of a tutor from Ariel Company Theatre.

All the classes are run on a course basis with great discounts available if you book for a the entire term but drop ins are also welcome at each session.

All the new classes will be offering half price taster sessions so come along and give them a try:

Mon 7 January, 9.30am – 10.30am Pilates Taster Session

Thur 10 January, 11am – 11.30am: 2 years/ 11.30am – 12pm: 3 & 4 years Ballet Tots Taster Session

Sat 12 January, 2pm – 3pm Musical Theatre Taster Session
