Double dose of comedy

This weekend sees a double bill of one act comedy at The Stables Theatre - Bathtime and Rat in the Cellar, tonight and Saturday evening at 7.30pm.

Bathtime is described as dark and orginal comedy theatre written and performed by former Observer report Richard Purnell. This is an unsettling comedy about when the love goes cold but the bathwater is still hot.

Like all great people (Whitney Houston, the Romans) Harry loves a bath. But when his wife, Sarah, is mysteriously bludgeoned to death, Harry keeps getting dragged from his bubbles by people – showerers, usually – who think he did it.

A Rat in the Cellar is a radio play written and acted for Stables audiences by St Leonards actress and playwright Kate Tym. Marilyn has a full life, M&S ready meals and a TV guide, but the rat in the cellar is gnawing away and she has to do something about it.
