New autumn season at Ropetackle

A wide range of delights will be on offer in the new autumn season coming up at the Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham.

Highlights for the new season include folk stars Eliza Carthy (October 12), Spiers & Boden (November 3) and The Old Dance School (October 22).

Also coming up are 80s icon Toyah Willcox (October 15) and 90s rockers Chumbawumba (December 1), plus stars of both the 70s and 80s The Blockheads (Ian Dury’s backing band still mixing it with the best – November 11), jazz superstar Dennis Rollins (November 16) who’ll be bringing his Velocity Trio to Ropetackle, cricket legend Henry Blofeld (September 9) with his show Shaken, Not Stirred plus a rare UK gig from American country music star Diana Jones (November 12), and Shoreham’s classical guitar virtuoso Richard Durrant with his brand-new show Danza Paraguaya (September 20).

This new season is packed full of entertaining, affordable and accessible shows, from a brand-new theatre production in our mezzanine space, to the UK’s preeminent trombonist, the biggest names from the world of folk, hilarious comedy shows delivered fresh from Edinburgh, classes and workshops, film premieres and fascinating discussions all taking place at Ropetackle between September and late December 2011.”
